They must have better solution for this case please let us know the update, I really want to know how they Asix or Lenovo fix this issue: Seems Windows cant auto install the driver, you need to get the correct driver from the manufactured site. You will get the latest and compatible driver from the wessite of the manufacturer. On the target computer, open Device Manager enter devmgmt in a Command Prompt window. To set the correct expectation, we should discuss at hardware forum and hardware manufactured should have better answer to resolved this issue.

After a fruitless effort to dig in forums, I just restored my laptop’s initial Windows 8, installed all the updates and then upgraded ax8179 8. I shall suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the said driver.
