I’ve tried it on a different PC wcan to make sure it wasn’t my development PC that was playing up, and still same result. An item that has been used previously.

There’s something faulty somewhere. Not familiar with that make. You can buy a PS2 split-cable in most hardware stores!

I’ve resigned myself to the fact that I just bought a cheap piece of tack, and will go out tomoorow to buy another one from a local PC shop that I know works I also tried searching the net to find a decent manual when I was trying to get mine working, but couldn’t find one. Owasn’t able to find it anywhere on the internet and i’m thinking of buying a second one that includes the manual but only if the manual has some advanced settings and since i haven’t seen the manual i don’t know if its just simple instructions to use it or it includes advanced features.

The new reader works perfectly, so I can only surmise that the cheap and cheerful one is faulty Hi Thanks for the suggestion, but there’s no options or settings for buffer or transmit. There seems to be difficulties using an adapter. The scanner beeps when it’s passed over a barcode but doesn’t print the text onto the screen, but plugging a spare keyboard into the same PS2 to USB adator that the scanners plugged into works fine.
